CalFaces: A Prototype for Reciprocity Mechanisms in Shared Calendars

Description

Traditional calendars support our everyday life and enable the administration of appointments as well as tasks. Group-Calendar-Systems are one of the earliest groupware technologies available since the late 1970s. They provide users with the possibility to store calendar resources online and share them among others. The provided mechanisms for the management of shared calendars in these systems are unsatisfying or time consuming as well as ineffective during the configuration. The work at hand occupies with challenges that result by sharing calendars and introduces new reciprocity mechanisms for selective information disclosure for calendars. For this purpose, face-based concepts for selective information disclosure are adapted to the requirements of group calendar systems.
