Flexible Rendering of Digital Learning Content Units

Description

The aim of this thesis is to realise the concept of adaptable learning and course documents for devices, learning context and for the learner herself. The needs of the learner and his/her surrounding context will affect the content, didactic method and medial representation of the course documents. Core challenges are to specify the processes and structures of authoring environments as well as the requirements to system architecture and data management that render individualised learning and course documents in eLearning systems. The approach is to develop a software system that enables these goals by seperating the concerns of the authoring process (such as writing, arrangement, document management and transport/presentation of learning content units and course documents) and to define interfaces between each part of the system. Furthermore, tools and interfaces are implemented.
